António Pinto

António Pinto has a PhD in Electrical and Computers Engineering from Porto University. Currently, he is a Full Professor at the Polytechnic of Porto, where he gives courses in computer networks, network security and digital forensics. He is also a researcher at CRACS, part of INESC TEC. His current research interests include secure communications, network security, data privacy and digital forensics. António Pinto has published 20+ papers and participated in 5+ research projects, including European projects. Holds both ISO 27001 Lead Implementer and 27001 Lead Auditor international certifications.

 

Gonçalo Hermenegildo

Gonçalo is a Systems and Computers Engineer, specialized on cryptography and PKI, complemented with multiple training on security, software development, project management, agile methodologies, quantum communication, IT governance and privacy. With more than 17 years in the security area, moving from development to team leading, project management and product ownership, he has acquired experience on authentication systems, digital signature, encryption, electronic voting and cryptographic hardware. He is now Innovation and Research Manager at AET Europe and, on the remaining time, Invited Assistant Professor on Applied Cryptography at Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão do Instituto Politécnico do Porto (ESTG/IPP).

 

João Paulo Magalhães

João Paulo Magalhães is a professor and researcher at ESTG - Porto Polytechnic, a researcher at CISUC- University of Coimbra, and the director of the Licenciatura in Computer and Networks Security at ESTG. He holds a PhD in dependable systems from University of Coimbra and is author of several scientific publications in dependability and cybersecurity. He keeps a close relationship with the industry, being the CTO at Globinnova Cyber Intelligence (Malware Analysis, Digital Vigilance, Big Data Security). Previously, João worked as team coordinator and sysadmin (UNIX) at SONAE.
